About the artist Art, home, heritage & purpose

Hello, I’m Tamri

A studio built on
memory, beauty & care.

I find inspiration in my travels, my roots, old architecture, museum rooms, flowers, animals, books, and the small details that make a home feel collected over time.

The beginning

Before tiles,
there were oil paintings.

My art journey began with oil paintings in 2012. Over time, my work found its way into art exhibits, local galleries, and homes through word of mouth — the quiet, personal kind of growth that happens when a piece speaks to someone.

Those early years taught me to trust texture, patience, color, and composition. They also shaped the way I still think about every Art By Tamri piece: it should feel expressive, layered, and full of story.

2012

Oil painting begins

A personal practice grows into a body of work shared through exhibits, local galleries, and collectors.

2024

Home decor takes shape

In Issaquah, Washington, the idea for museum-inspired home decor and art pieces begins in my garage.

2026

Designed in Virginia

Now working from Virginia, I personally design and inspect every piece before it leaves the studio.

What fascinates me

From blank surface
to conversation starter.

What I love most is the transformation — beginning with a blank surface and watching it become something beautiful, unique, and alive with personality. A piece should do more than decorate a room; it should invite someone to pause, ask a question, and feel a connection.

That is the heart of Art By Tamri: home decor with an artist’s hand, a museum-inspired eye, and the warmth of something made to be lived with. Every piece is personally designed and inspected by me, because the smallest details are what make an object feel special.

Made with purpose

Beauty should
do some good.

I am passionate about supporting women and children, and I serve on the board of a nonprofit dedicated to meaningful community work. As Art By Tamri grows, 10% of my earnings are donated toward causes that help create safety, opportunity, and care where it is needed.
